We acknowledge and pay respect to traditional custodians, elders, community members and Ancestors of the land, sky, waters, animals and totems in which we live and work in the Tweed Heads area: Bundjalung Peoples.
We pay respect to the significant & ongoing relationship and responsibilities that our First Australian’s are continuing to have with land, seas, sky, culture, animals, lore, spirituality & people.
We acknowledge past, present and future FNQ and local First Australian Elders, Community Members and Ancestors who have contributed to culture and history in this country, including in our case: social justice, healing and wellness locally. I extend respects to Indigenous Australian’s who are reading this today.
We recognise that throughout history, social work has contributed to many ruptures for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander people through wrongs/bias like working under policies, in roles, and having worldviews which can impact our professional behaviour.
We are committed to being sorry, to listening and learning from our First Australians and following guidance and protocols so together we can remain connected and work towards reconciliation, healing, social justice and wellness.
We are qualified and experienced professionals with a strong understanding of the diverse cultural backgrounds and diverse needs. We create a safe and supportive environment that values and honours Cultural & Spiritual identity.
