Terri Woodward an AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (Medicare 519019KF) and Director of Value Wellness, founded in 2016, with a clear mission: to improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals and those who care for them. With a warm, person-centred approach, Terri is deeply committed to supporting not only individuals but also their families, carers, and broader stakeholders (professionals).
Terri began her career in the community sector in 2006, working alongside people living with mental health challenges and disabilities. Over the years, she has built extensive experience in health, community and working with our First Australians.
Driven by a passion for understanding human behaviour, personal growth, and systemic advocacy, Terri has developed her niche in mental health, particularly anxiety. She brings clinical expertise, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience to her practice.
Under her leadership, Value Wellness has grown and diversified—offering flexible support options including counselling, psychosocial assessments, and professional supervision. The service continues to evolve in response to community needs, staying grounded in evidence-based practice and a commitment to ethical, inclusive care.
Terri grew up in a large family in the Bundjalung area (Ballina, NSW). Her family originate from England, Slovenia, Holland and Mitta Mitta (Australia). She has a cheeky son and a cheekier therapy dog, Roger. Terri loves music (especially country and guitar), trying new cafes, eat platter foods, travelling, going to parks & beaches, playing sport, watching sport, fishing, camping, reading, arts and craft and seeing loved ones often. She is a secret handyman.

We keep your personal information and stories isolated, secret, locked & protected.
Information collected will not be shared with other people or organizations unless you consent or if we have substantial reason to believe that you or others are at significant risk of harm.
This is part of our mandatory reporting obligations and duty of care.
Value Wellness is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We comply with the following laws and practice standards relating to privacy and health records:
Please email us for our privacy policy.
We acknowledge and pay respect to traditional custodians, elders, community members and Ancestors of the land, sky, waters, animals and totems in which we live and work in the Tweed Heads area: Bundjalung Peoples.
We pay respect to the significant & ongoing relationship and responsibilities that our First Australian’s are continuing to have with land, seas, sky, culture, animals, lore, spirituality & people.
We acknowledge past, present and future FNQ and local First Australian Elders, Community Members and Ancestors who have contributed to culture and history in this country, including in our case: social justice, healing and wellness locally. I extend respects to Indigenous Australian’s who are reading this today.
We recognise that throughout history, social work has contributed to many ruptures for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and South Sea Islander people through wrongs/bias like working under policies, in roles, and having worldviews which can impact our professional behaviour.
We are committed to being sorry, to listening and learning from our First Australians and following guidance and protocols so together we can remain connected and work towards reconciliation, healing, social justice and wellness.
We are qualified and experienced professionals with a strong understanding of the diverse cultural backgrounds and diverse needs. We create a safe and supportive environment that values and honours Cultural & Spiritual identity.
We offer an initial 6-session model of care, designed to provide focused, evidence-based support tailored to your needs.
After the six sessions, we will complete a review to reflect on your progress, revisit your goals, and decide on the next steps. This might include continuing with further sessions, taking a break, or linking in with other services if needed.
Our approach is flexible and person-centred—we’ll work with you to ensure the support remains helpful and aligned with your goals.
Everyone’s needs are different — some people benefit from ongoing support over months or years, while others find a few sessions are enough. It’s completely okay to ask for the amount of help that feels right for you.
If you, or someone you know, needs support please contact us to help. Terri Woodward
